I have had this happen to me many times. I have also seen this problem with other people. I’m sorry to hear that you are having this problem. This is why I want to share my experience with you. I have had this problem before, and I know how to fix it.

The 3 Common Issues for the Contact Form Problem

There are so many bots sending spam that sometimes your email server computers will block those emails. The reason is that the server is unable to distinguish between real and fake emails.

1. Your web host may be blocking the emails from your wordpress site contact us form.

2. You may need to change the form’s name to something else like “Contact” or “Contact us”.

3. You may need to update the form so it will accept email addresses.

 Whatever! I just want it to work! You will find my solution later in this article.

How to Create a Contact Form in WordPress

That’s why you should consider using a contact form builder. A form builder is software that helps you to create a form and then let people submit it to you. You can make your wordpress contact form work, and then people can submit their information to you and it will go to your email hosting provider.

Use a Word Press Contact Form Plugin

Contact Form 7

As I mentioned earlier, contact form 7 is a WordPress plugin designed to make it easier for you to build a contact form in your website. There are many free solutions available that allow you to build a form but it takes a lot of time and effort, and it’s very easy to make mistakes.

With the help of contact form 7, all you have to do is fill in your details, add the fields you want on your form and then press save, and in seconds you will have a working form that is customized to your needs. You can edit, configure and add custom fields if needed.

There are many tutorials on YouTube to learn how to do this. You just have to use a little code that Contact Form 7 provides.

WP Forms

You can also use the free version of WP Forms to set up a contact form. It costs money if you want to store the emails that you receive.

I had some trouble with this plugin, so you may need to add another plugin called WP Mail SMTP by WPForms to help you to receive your wordpress emails.

Do You have a SMTP Problem?

What is SMTP? It means Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (computer talk) or sending email from one computer to another. There are rules in order for computers to talk to each other and understand the commands. If something is not set up correctly according to the standard rules, then the computer will not send the message.

It could be that the port is incorrect, but that is for geeks.  The plugin mentioned above should help with your contact form, WP Mail SMTP by WPForms, but I’m not successful with it. It should help with the port. There is a video below to help you.

A Simple Solution to Fix!

I used Brizy! This is a plugin much like Elementor, but cheaper. I use brizy plugin on my website to create a nice and clean look.

There are 2 versions, the basic free one and the Pro version, which you pay for. The free version will be sufficient to fix your problem!

I don’t know why it works, it just works!

There is a work around available. There are services that act as a go between and collect the emails through your email server into a list that you can use to market to your visitors. This is a means to authenticate your messages, making them recognized as legitimate. Try these to improve email deliverability.

Many of them have free plans to start with. They have plugins to use with your wordpress settings.


Many SMTP providers, including SendGrid, offer the use of their mail servers to send your emails. This can save a significant amount of time and effort when sending large volumes of emails.

You can use a service like SendGrid, along with WP Mail SMTP by WPForms, to automate the process. Here is a video that demonstrates how this works.

MailChimp was created in 2001 for small businesses to collect email addresses from their customers into lists and to advertise to them. It’s a very popular service.

You don’t have to use Brizy on every page in your site. I have created one contact page on a Word Press site and my form is working smoothly. Just create the page to look like your site.

I just choose the Word Press option in the form. If you want to use the ReCaptcha in the form, go here to sign up your website and get your API codes. I have not been charged for this. You will need 2 keys, a site key and a secret key. You will have to decide whether to use v2 or v3. I use v3.

Great News! Brizy will save your emails in your word press dashboard – free! Therefore even if you have any problems, you can find your emails!
